Energy home in the city

Energy homes in Worcester

This energy home in the city has two heating and hot water systems installed in the property. It's more than you would normally have in a semi detached 1930's property but for demonstration purposes it illustrates how you can heat your home with either the ground source heat pump with a bore hole collector or switch over to the condensing gas boiler and solar panels. Other features in this property include a rain water harvesting system used for the washing machine and flushing the toilet, underfloor heating, sheep's wool insulation in the loft, triple glazed windows and smart board thermal store plasterboard type material.

Traditional house in the country

The Energy Centre

The large traditional detached Victorian property in a Worcestershire village is equipped specifically for installers, specifiers and other domestic heating and hot water industry professionals with use of its own Renewable Technology Training Pavilion. The property houses a Greenstore ground source heat pump (looped and compact collector), Greenskies solar panels, Greenstar condensing A rated oil boiler and our latest addition Greensource air source heat pump which takes energy from the air and converts it into usable heat, even when the outside temperature is as low as minus 20ºC.
