They were chosen for their energy efficiency thereby lowering the home's CO2 emissions.

Kettles

Kettles are one of the most used appliances in the kitchen.

Energy Saving Recommended kettles or instantaneous water heaters have to meet strict testing, ensuring that they demonstrate a 20% reduction in energy consumption over that consumed by an average kettle.

If every household in the UK used an Energy Saving Recommended kettle, we would save around £170 million of energy a year.

This is enough electricity to power 330,000 homes for a year and enough CO2 to fill Big Ben tower over 75,000 times.

Bosch A-Rated Cooker

Multifunctional built-under double oven has triple glazed doors, built in unique Oxylytic cleaning liners an in total 75 litres of oven capacity.

Bosch A-Rated Dishwasher

This slimline fully integrated dishwasher has 4 programmer settings including a quick wash at 35°C to reduce wash times.

It costs around 20% less to run a cycle on an energy saving dishwasher as it does on an old, inefficient machine.

An Energy Saving Recommended dishwasher will save you around £12 per year on your electricity bill and 48 kilograms of CO2.

Energy Saving Recommended dishwashers also use less water.

Bosch A-Rated Fridge and Freezer

This A-Rated fridge and freezer are completely CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and HFC (hydro fluorocarbons) free - gases that cause lasting damage to the earth's ozone layer.

Anti bacterial protected is built within the special lining of the fridge which gives lifetime protection against bacteria, micro-organism and algae growth, providing the safest possible storage environment for your food.

Fridges and freezers are the hardest working appliances in the kitchen - they are on the go 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so if your fridge or freezer isn't energy efficient it's costing more to run and is responsible for a higher amount of CO2.

Bosch A-Rated Washing Machine

Bosch energy saving washing machines have to meet strict criteria to qualify their ratings.

AAA ratings are the most efficient which equal A for energy efficiency, A for spin efficiency and A for wash performance.

The Bosch washing machine used in our Worcester energy home has water supplied via the rainwater harvesting system.

The large capacity 6kg washing machine with 15 clothes care programmes includes an express wash system with up to 40% faster programme times.

The machine also has safeguard monitoring system which adjusts load distribution and programme settings to protect clothes.
