Eco windows
Reducing heat loss
Double glazing provides better heat insulation for homeowners by halving the heat loss through windows.
It also reduces carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere and reduces condensation on your window frames internally.
Triple glazing
Triple glazing windows as the name suggests is 3 panes of glass rather than the 2 for double glazing.
Triple glazed window frames are filled with gasses such as argon which have even greater energy savings.
Argon is an inert gas, which has better thermal properties than dry air.
Fuel bill savings
In the UK we express the rate of heat loss in 'U values' and the lower the U value the greater the thermal insulation and savings on your fuel bill.
Triple glazing is commonly used in Scandinavia due to the extremes of cold weather and it's starting to become wider known due to the Code for Sustainable Homes which is a government objective to have zero carbon homes by 2016.
Our Energy Home windows
Our Worcester energy home windows and doors were all made from PEFC certified European redwood with stainless steel ironmongery with high recycle content.
The windows are triple glazed argon filled units with very low U values.
