Mrs N lives in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom end of terrace stone cottage.

Wanting to replace her old heating system she was looking for a solution to both reduce CO2 emissions and save on fuel bills.

Energy usage

Mrs N's heating and hot water requirements are steady throughout the day, and increasing on weekends when her grandson visits.

The system has been operating since July 2006 and over this time her gas bills have been significantly reduced.

Mrs N said: "I switched my boiler off last March and have only just turned it back on in October, meaning all the hot water I've been using over this time has effectively been free."

"I've been absolutely delighted with my solar water heating system, not only am I saving on my fuel bills each month, but my home's CO2 emissions have been significantly reduced, thus helping to protect the environment.

"My old heating system was ready to be replaced but I really didn't know where to start. Now I have the best possible system - all thanks to Worcester."
